Come Together
Then you will call, and the Lord will answer; you will cry for help, and He will say: Here am I. If you do away with the yoke of oppression, with the pointing finger and malicious talk, and if you spend yourselves in behalf of the hungry and satisfy the needs of the oppressed, then your light will rise in the darkness, and your night will become like the noonday.
Isaiah 58:9-10
God is with you now as you read these words. God understands what you are going through. If we, by God's grace, find the courage to take our eyes off of ourselves and our own circumstances, and if we start paying attention to the needs of others, God will reveal things about ourselves that we didn't even know existed. The darkness that Isaiah speaks of is the darkness that is prevalent in our society. Jesus said, "you are the light of the world." It is time that we be that light. It is time that the church, rise up and show the world a new way. It is time that the church come together and rise in unity, and demonstrate to the world what unity really means. "Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I shall not want, for You are with me."
God Bless you,
J.H
