O Lord, you have searched me and you know me. You know when I sit, and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar. You discern my going out and my lying down; you are familiar with all my ways. Before a word is on my tongue, you know it completely, oh Lord. You hem me in - behind and before; you have laid your hand upon me. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me, too lofty for me to attain.
Psalm 139:1-6
Sometimes we do not let people get to know us completely because we are afraid they will discover something about us that they won't like. But God already knows everything about us, even to the numbers of hairs on our heads, and still he accepts and loves us. God is with us in every situation, in every trial - protecting, loving, guiding. He knows and loves us completely. God is present everywhere. Because this is so, you can never be lost to his Spirit. This is good news to those who know and love God, because no matter what we do or where we go, we are never far from God's comforting presence.
